Year 6 Archery
Wed 29 Nov 2017On Thursday, our Year 6 children had the opportunity to 'shoot some hoops' in a very different way! No basketball this time-archery instead!
Our visiting coach - from Discover Archery - taught the children the basics and then they took part in a variety of games to test their skills.
Year 5 can look forward to a similar session in the New Year!

KS2 Present – “Cinderella”
The first wave of Christmas production tickets has been very successful with 544 tickets allocated on Thursday by the ticketing elves. The Box Office has now reopened for Phase 2 of ticketing where you are welcome to select another two tickets for family members or friends for any of the performances. Please use the links below but note that options may disappear as they “sell-out” – Mrs Dow will keep an eye on it over the week and as everyone has had a week’s opportunity in the first round, it will now be “first come, first served!”.
The Tuesday afternoon performance of “Cinderella” has the least allocated tickets so if you would like an additional two tickets for that one, you are welcome to them on top of your evening allocation.

KS2 Present – “Cinderella”
Preparations for the eagerly anticipated Christmas productions began this week with the children and everybody is looking forward to the shows. The box office for both productions is now officially open for phase 1 of ticketing which will be done online as last year. Every family will have the opportunity to secure a maximum of two tickets for each key stage their child/children is/are in. You are able to split the tickets for different performances if you would like but no more than two tickets will be allocated per family this week. This includes tickets for pre-school siblings who will need their own seat – you are of course welcome to have them on your lap but please note no pushchairs/buggies/car-seats will be allowed into the school as we simply don’t have the room!
Tickets are available online from now until Thursday (23rd Nov) at 8am when the box office will close and all of the ticket requests will be allocated (hopefully on Thursday). Next Friday, the box office will reopen for phase 2 of ticketing when you will be able to apply for additional tickets; look out in next week’s newsletter for further details. We understand that not everyone is able to access the tickets online so there will be iPads available at the school office should anyone like to borrow one.
Please note, the Google form will allow you to order more than two tickets for each key stage because it is not as intelligent as we would like; you will only be allocated two tickets so choose wisely! The web-links are below; alternatively, you can follow the link in the BOX OFFICE section under Recent Events on the school website. Mrs Dow will allocate around 1400 tickets over the next few weeks so please bear with us if there are any glitches in the system!
