2024 - The Launch! 

We are back in business for another round with our returning authors Elspeth Leadbetter,  Louise Fein and Jacqueline Sutherland! All details of how to enter can be found in the poster below alongside a copy of the PowerPoint Presentation the children were shown which they could revisit at home for inspiration. Thomas Godeseth has returned his coveted trophy so we look forward to awarding it again this year! 

What Happened in 2023? 

Children in Key Stage 2 were invited to enter a short story into a competition run by local author, Pirbright hero and all round parent extraordinaire - Elspeth Leadbetter. She recruited local authors Louise Fein and Jacqueline Sutherland to help. 53 entries later, they had a short-list of eleven with three additional children who were highly commended. The overall winner for 2023 was Thomas Godeseth; you can read his story along with all of the shortlist below.
