In Year 5, when they arrived back from Christmas, they were assigned jobs from two different newspapers: ‘The Daily Pirbright’ and ‘The Pirbright Times’. The children were asked to report the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’, using witness statements from Little Red Riding Hood, Shrek and Daddy Bear. 5EC’s class assembly re-told ‘The True Story of The Three Little Pigs’, which takes into consideration how the Big Bad Wolf may have felt, and whether he really was to blame after all…

Using their journalistic skills, and their understanding of formal report writing, the children investigated the case, coming up with catchy headlines! Well done 5EC!
