Year 6 Leavers' Party
Thu 21 Jul 2016The Year 6 parents organised a fantastic send off for our Year 6 children on Wednesday night. It was a brilliant carnival-themed party where the school hall was transformed into a tropical paradise. The children all had a great time; there was lots of dancing and singing and, of course, the selfie-booth! -
Miss Redman's Superstar Assembly
Wed 20 Jul 2016This morning we held a special Superstar assembly to celebrate all the wonderful things that make Miss Redman so very special to us all as we get ready to say a very sad goodbye at the end of this term. The children read out their own class awards, some special guests said a few words and there was even a flash mob dance from the whole school to Miss Redman's favourite classic 'Reach for the Stars'.
The hall was awash with pink as the children and staff all dressed in Miss Redman's favourite colour for the day as part of our celebrations.

Year 6 Production
Wed 20 Jul 2016We couldn’t be prouder of the boys and girls in Year 6 who have worked so hard to put together this production and, like everything they have done this year, have given it all the effort and enthusiasm of true Pirbright stars. They’ve been a pleasure to work with, especially with all the “curriculum developments” over the year. “Greenlake School” is our spoof of the current educational climate that our children have navigated with good humour and a positive attitude. We hope you agree that this production shows #TeamYear6 at their very best!

Year1 Wisley trip
Wed 20 Jul 2016Year 1 enjoyed a fantastic day out at Wisley Gardens with Year 5 on Friday 8th July. The children enjoyed exploring the glasshouse and wild woods. Particular highlights for the children were rubbing the herbs to enjoy the amazing scents, collecting carrots from the gardener in the vegetable garden and of course, playing on the adventure playground after lunch! As ever, the children behaved impeccably. We really appreciated our parent helpers too!

Year 6 Fun Day!
Tue 19 Jul 2016To celebrate the end of the school year in style we headed over to The Spectrum in Guildford for a day of fun in the sun! We went bowling first and then ventured across to Stoke Park for lunch and games. We were having so much fun we forgot to take photos (!) before we went back for a swimming session in the afternoon. A great day was had by all and the sun was certainly shining!

Reception trip to Ladyland Farm
Wed 06 Jul 2016On Tuesday, Reception headed out for a fun filled day of learning at Ladyland Farm. We all had a fantastic day with lots of hands on farming experiences. Farmer Niki and Farmer Jackie took us around the farm to see all the animals. We saw pigs, goats, rabbits, chickens, geese, calves, sheep and ponies. Farmer Phillip drove the tractor for our very bumpy ride. He was lots of fun! After lunch we played on the hay bales and tractors before heading back to school. The farmers said we were super listeners and behaved exceptionally. We all had a great day and were all very sleepy on the coach home!

Year 2 Trip to Brighton
Wed 06 Jul 2016Year 2 Visit Brighton
On Tuesday the whole of Yr2 packed up their sun cream, caps, nets and buckets to go on their annual visit to Brighton. Linked to our seaside topic the children had a wonderful time on Rottingdean Beach, thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic Punch and Judy Show at the Rudyard Kipling Gardens and spent the afternoon at the Sealife Aquarium finding out about the amazing world under the sea.
We all had a wonderful day! Thanks again to all of the parents who joined us, we hope the day was worth the early wake up!
