At Pirbright, we are always striving to be the best we can be and this does not stop with the children. As a school we want to ensure that the curriculum and opportunities we provide are relevant and dynamic. Our leadership system is designed with this in mind. All our staff are split into one of three School Improvement Teams (SITs); each of these teams is led by a member of the leadership team. The leadership team is made up the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, 4 Senior Leaders, the SENCo and the School Business Manager. We are lucky to have a huge number of senior teachers at Pirbright who also take on additional responsibilities - almost everyone has a "thing" they can put their name on; it really is a huge team effort to get all of the cogs moving and the wheels turning in the right direction. 

Each year, the leadership team review the previous year’s priorities and then set out the priorities for the following year. We break these down under three headings - “Quality of Education", “Behaviour & Attitudes”, "Leadership & Management" and “Personal Development”. Each teacher takes on an area of the curriculum (i.e. French) to lead and has their own development targets for that subject which sit under the whole School Improvement Plan - the big things. All our projects are driven to achieve our Mission Statement.
