Welcome to Year 5! We follow a cross curricular approach with a topic each half term. Each term uses a key subject area or text to drive the topic with lots of revisiting and building upon learning and skills from those topics covered previously. Our topics are all listed on our long term plan (LTP) below and provide lots of opportunities for the children to be creative, imaginative and curious. We also enjoy texts by J.K. Rowling and Michael Morpurgo, explore different genres of films, non-chronological reports and poetry. In Maths, we use White Rose to structure our learning and become masters!
