At Pirbright Village Primary School, wellbeing is woven through the everyday life of our school. It is not a separate programme or collection of initiatives, but an integral part of how we care for, support and develop our whole school community. Our five School Values – Respect, Nurture, Pride, Trust and Resilience – provide the framework through which we promote wellbeing for children, staff and families. They guide the relationships we build, the environments we create and the opportunities we provide for everyone to flourish. Each value contributes to wellbeing in a different but interconnected way. Together, they help us to create a school where people feel safe and valued, develop positive relationships, take pride in themselves and their community, feel trusted and supported, and develop the resilience to navigate challenge and change.
The table below provides an overview of what each value means for the wellbeing of our children, staff and families. The subsequent sections of this strategy explore each value in greater depth, identifying the approaches, provision and initiatives that bring our wellbeing vision to life.
