Learning From Home

On this page you will find learning tasks set for the children in Year 2, 3, 4 & 5 to complete at home whilst they are unable to return to school. Tasks are now being set by a team of teachers working remotely rather than class teachers and will be available on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This half term, the learning tasks will have a different focus; they will be linked to a specific topic or theme and be shared between year groups. All tasks should be accessible to the children but if you are experiencing any difficulties, our Learning From Home Team are on-hand via email to give you some support and advice. These tasks are not compulsory but recommended to ensure children are keeping up with their learning whilst we are not all together at school. The team have a new designated email address set up for communication so please feel free to email them any learning the children have completed for feedback or to ask any questions -

In the Tips & Tricks section below you will find the Home Learning Guides that we published at the start of the year, our Writing Wishlists that we work from in class and Reading Task Grids, which you may wish to still use. There is also a section for Let’s Get Moving ideas and Added Extras, which will be populated with fun things that could be useful for children of any age. They are not set for particular year groups but could be applicable to anyone if you are in need of a different avenue to explore for learning! If you have a child in Year R, 1 or 6 and they are not returning to school then have a look at the Learning From Home Resources Yr R, Yr 1 & Yr 6 section for ideas about supporting your child at home.

Poetry Slam! To all our talented poets this competition could be just for you!

Learning From Home - Friday 8th May 2020

As it's Bank Holiday Friday, there will be no Learning From Home today. If you want to do some learning, feel free to catch up on anything you have missed, log onto Mathletics, complete a task from the Reading Task Grids or have a look through all of the other activities above. Have you read this week's First News? Have you tried one of Ms Jackson's Physical Challenges? Have you done any mindful activities or looked at the other fun stuff. Perhaps just have a sit down with a Bedtime Story and enjoy one of the adults reading to you - I highly recommend Mrs Greer's (AKA Kylie Minogue's) story - you're in for a treat!
